The US is now championing the rights of illegal immigrants.
Before they even get here.
It seems that folks have figured out that Mexico is a gateway for easy access into the US, allowing folks to skip all of that messy, paperwork-involved application process, what with its quotas and bothersome TSA security restrictions. Not just for folks from hovels in Central America, but also from Islamist countries where the faction du jour might have the upper hand or be particularly down on some folks, just because those folks are so enraptured with the idea of violent jihad against anyone not of the same faction.
So anyway, 30 Democratic Congressmen have decided that the Mexican governmental authorities are guilty of kidnapping, robbery, and extortion of these fine folks and are asking Secretary of State Clinton to tell the Mexican government to clean up their act or else they might lose all of the foreign aid money that we are shoveling their way.
And it is not as if we are not doing our part. The Department of Homeland “Security” grudgingly released figures last week that the numbers of folks arrested trying to cross the border has fallen to a rate that has not been seen since the 70s. They’ve decided that this must mean that fewer people are coming here rather than that they have been slacking off. Nothing about that we have turned the US-Mexican border into an express lane.
(If we actually had that many fewer people coming here, would this be a negative commentary on the results of the political policies of the last 3 years?)
