Doesn’t end well

How is it that we are approaching what may be the most important election of our lifetime, one that may bellweather if this country actually survives even as a pseudo-republic, and the best that the political machine offers us at the fore as a contender is Gingrich or Romney.

2008 all over again.

May as well write in McCain.

Allow me to offer an alternative POV … indeed this may be the most important election of our lifetime. That said, given it took more than one generation to create the parallel (shadow) government that now exists doesn’t it stand to reason it will take more than one generation to affect restoration? Therefore, wouldn’t even a slight turn of the rudder offer some hope in turning this ship of state in the correct direction?

Sort of like throwing the engines on the Valdez into full reverse. No discernable difference in direction or speed noticeable and it takes 3 miles to come to a stop. After a certain point, it no longer mattered what Hazelwwod did, or even if he was there at all, and the salmon and seagulls and otters and ecosystem were still screwed. The country’s turning radius is larger than the largest arc between us and the economic cliff.
