Unsustainable- I used to know what that meant

Presbo told America that Obamacare would cost $900 billion spread over 10 years and “would not add one dime to the debt”.

A new analysis has been done by Senator Jeff Sessions, who has now been able to read the bill that no one apparently read before it was passed, since Congress had to”pass the bill so you can see what’s in it”, per Madam Pelosi.  Senator Sessions is the ranking member of the Senate Budget Committee.

The actual cost of Obamacare is a little closer to $17 trillion in  unfunded liabilities over the next 75 years.  Medicare and Medicaid as currently configured have commited the country to $65 trillion of spending over the next 75 years for which there is also currently no way to pay.  Social Security will cost another $17 trillion for what is currently committed to and which has no way to pay.

Obamacare actually kicks in quickly, requiring an expenditure of $2.6 trillion over just the next 10 years, meaning that we don’t have the luxury of kicking the can down the road to our children and grandchildren as Congress is want to do.  We are already borrowing as much again as our income as a country each year just to do the minimum that we are doing now.   This is going to put us in jeopardy of financial disaster NOW.

One of the characters in Ernest Hemingway’s The Sun Also Rises asks another how he went bankrupt.  The reply was  “At first slowly, and then quickly”.
