Truth will out

Newt Gingrich’s take on Presbo’s energy policies:

(The President says) ‘over the last 3 years, my administration has approved dozens of new pipelines, including through Canada.’ Now, Mr. President, you know how limited your respect for the intelligence of the American people must be. How could you possibly veto the only major pipeline that matters from Canada, the Keystone Pipeline, and turn around and suggest to us that the fact that we have approved dozens of tiny ones — this is like saying, ‘My Navy has 11 ships, they’re all rowboats.’ I mean how do you deal with a President who is this fundamentally out of touch with being honest? It would be one thing if he said, ‘Yes, I vetoed the Keystone Pipeline and here is why.’ But to come and say, “I have approved lots of pipelines, why are you mad at me? Well, because you did not approve the one that mattered. The Keystone Pipeline is worth 700,000 barrels a day when you use it…. This President is driving Canada into a partnership with China in order to build a pipeline due west to Vancouver to deliver the oil to China. It is a strategic disaster of the first order.”

drrik, I love the 11 rowboats–perfect! Obama’s narcissistic personality would give us armchair psychologists fodder for years of analyzing. But, it won’t help the country rid itself of this cancer. I have said from the moment I laid eyes on this guy that the truth is not in him, but he has gotten away with lying to the sheeple who worship him and thinks he still can. He is the epitome of the deadly combination of (thanks to Michael Barone, I believe) ignorance and arrogance. He does not know what he does not know. He is the most dangerous man in the world right now.

I think, that if it is possible, he is a worse iteration in that he does not care what he does not know. Even surrounded by all the yes-men it has got to be evident ot him that the results of his policies are a disaster. Yet, instead of calling a halt to re-examine and re-evaluate, he is pressing on the accelerator, as Alinski advised, twice as hard. One of the main problems with Alinski is that he never wrote anything about the “and then they lived happily ever after” part. Easy to focus on the “destroy” part. Not a glimmer evident anywhere about what to do after the destruction. It was like Clinton’s tax on the millionaires’s luxury yachts. It destroyed market for US built yachts and the collection of expertise that worked in yacht building companies here in the US for the past 100 years. Then, after it was destroyed, they went’ “Ooops”, and undid it. And it made no difference. Gone is gone.
