The lib-prog rationale

Societies grow weak, soft, and corrupt without something to struggle against. In the absence of an actual external threat to wage war against by killing off the most capable, it is necessary to have the government step in and tax people to the maximum extent, bleeding off the surplus currency that people would just get into trouble with and nobly stepping up to serve as the immoveable force against which people bash themselves just in order to survive. This is used to then subsidize the less capable who can then not have to struggle to be independent.  Freedom is slavery.   In the ghetto cultures, some would still excel via the drug trade and have no way to be taxed into submission so the more successful of those need to be captured and penned to remove them from the gene pool.

3rd career and 2nd childhood. Spends spare time repairing old things. Aspires to burn more gasoline, gunpowder, and ink in pursuit of slowing down. Child of the 60s and aspiring student of history. No desire to see us repeat the failed social experiments that keep failing for lack of human beings that meet the left wing standards and have to be killed off. If I had my way, I’d ship all progressives/liberals out of here on a one way ticket to Cuba.

Fun to think about. Would not work any more than we could kill our way to success in “Nam. Cannot get rid of as fast as new are indoctrinated and pressed in to service to replace. Have to win the hearts and minds. In this case, it means changing the system so that people are no longer protected from the consequences of their actions. People are the same and have been the same for thousands of years and respond to the same aspirations and stimuli. Generally good, I think but with a chronic 10% that will try to avoid accomplishing regardless of the reward, and which will work VERY hard to avoid work. Anything that does not change the cosequences, I posit, is doomed to fail.
