Bought and paid for

“Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive,” Obama said during a rally in Virginia on Friday. “If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that.”

The top 20 percent income earners, who earned 50.8 percent of income, paid 67.9 percent of taxes.   The top 1 percent paid 22.3 percent of taxes in 2009, compared to the bottom 20 percent, who paid only 0.3 percent of the taxes.

The top 1 percent income earners paid 74 times the amount of taxes as paid by the bottom 20 percent

Which pretty much is covers the entire cost of the entire infrastructure that Presbo says that they didn’t build.

If you seized ALL of the money in America and divided it up equally among all of the people in America, even including the people here illegally ( which Presbo seems pretty set on doing), it would be only a few years before it had all moved back to nearly all of its current distribution.  Money goes to those who  produce and leaves those who keep doing the things that make them poor to start with.  Don’t believe me?  Internet search the current financial situation of most of the folks that had won the lottery.  Not ” life’s lottery” that Presbo tends to rant about.   The actual lottery, where someone you don’t know shows up because of a purchased ticket and hands out a few million dollars.   The vast majority of those folks had several years of the high life and then were back to the same lifestyle that they had before hand.

The only redistribution program that Presbo is going to be able to do and be effective for what HE wants is if he sets up a system that CONTINUALLY shows up with guns to seize money from those that produce.  And the only problem with that system like that is that it creates a huge disincentive to do anything remotely like producing.

Key phrase – “… that allowed you to thrive …” Excuse me, thriving is my God given right and even responsibility. It ought frighten everyone to realize that this is how this Resident really thinks.

Thriving is instilled from birth onward. Catch a person too late and they are damaged goods and will never thrive. Once a person is trained, as Socrates said, ” after childhood, they are mine forever”. That being said, in every culture in the world, there is an inherent 10% of the population that will NOT want to do for themselves no matter what is done. In primitive times, theses were the weak that were pulled down by predators that then gave the community a better chance to escape, so they were not without some use, but not enough now to cripple our society by training half or more of the population to mimic that role. When the number of parasites becomes too great, the host either dies or devotes all energy to escape.
Interesting idea: If the country collapses because of the administration, will the current structure provide protection for the denizens that allowed it to happen or will it track them down and seek retribution? Will there arise a great central socialist state or will there arise a a fragmented group of republics that cleave to the original concept and see the current regime as an enemy?
