The new Egyptian government installed by the newly elected Muslim Brotherhood presidential candidate, Mohammed Morsi has pushed out the leaders of the military, overturned the constitutional limitations on the office of the presidency, and given broad new powers to the president, who has not yet stated that they are instituting sharia throughout the country, but they did censor a newspaper and threaten the staff with fueling sedition with “words punishable by law”.
No mention of this by the lib-prog media. Which is understandable. Because the obvious question would be how could Presbo and his administration not know that they were installing a religious extremist government in Egypt that was going to be even worse to live under than the dictator that we spent all that money to depose? And if he and they actually knew it, then how does he justify lying about it and how does he rationalize using the presidency to further goals that have nothing to do with America’s interests and make our future less secure?
Which is arguably minimally a violation of his oath of office and impeachable, if not treason.
Gotcha this time. But does it make any difference anymore if the Congress and the Supremes collude right along? Authority is delegated upward. He only has power to do things that no one questions. Which right now looks like pretty well anything. Seven weeks since he’s even allowed the press covering the White House to even ask any questions.
