Betting on a darker horse

Libya traditionally has consisted of tribes.
Gaddafi comes from one of those tribes.
Calling the country Libya is fine but it would be as appropriate to call it Gaddafi Arabia, since he had conquered the country in much the same way that King Saud conquered the tribes that he made into Saudi Arabia.
The rebels, the ones that are not Al Qaeda, come from the other arab tribes in Libya.
Gaddafi’s construction projects required much more labor than was available in Libya.
To fix this problem, he imported workers.
The majority of the immigrant workers were blacks from Sub-Saharan Africa, Sudan, Ethiopia, Mauritania, and Mali.
Now the rebel winners, groups of arabs that apparently don’t answer to Obama or anyone, and no longer restrained by Gaddafi, are rounding up every black they can find in Tripoli and the towns Abu Salim and Zawiyah, tying their hands behind them, and executing them on the spot.  A little racist-supporting collateral damage.
Reminds me of an aphorism about the devil you know being better than the devil you don’t.
Genocide, courtesy of the good ol’ US of A.  The devil, you say!  On the plus side, Congress is not on the hook for this, since they didn’t get to vote to wage war there.  Unless they can be blamed for sitting back and doing nothing while Presbo did.
Good thing they can’t ask for that Peace Prize back.
